What The Service Entails

For all these cases, John can help you from the initial advice all the way to a final hearing. This includes preparing the case and representing you in First Hearing Dispute Resolution Appointments (FHDRAs), Dispute Resolution Appointments (DRAs), Directions Hearings, Fact-Finding Hearings, Without Notice Hearings, Return Hearings, First Appointments,  Financial Dispute Resolution appointments (FDRs), Pre-Trial Reviews (PTRs), and Final Hearings.

With John, you will receive continuity of representation throughout the life of your case (subject to professional commitments).

John is known to go the extra mile for his clients. He entirely appreciates how difficult Family Court proceedings can be, and he will always do his best to put his clients at ease. At the same time, John is a fierce advocate in court, and will fearlessly fight his client’s corner.

Children

There is nothing more important than your children. That’s why disagreements about what is best for your children require particular care. You might want to spend more time with your children than the other parent is allowing, or you might think the other parent is a danger to the children and you want to limit contact. Maybe the other parent wants to relocate abroad with your children and you don’t agree to this. Whatever the situation, there may be a solution through the courts. John can advise and represent you so that you can do what is best for your children.

Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse comes in all shapes and sizes: physical abuse, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, sexual abuse and financial abuse. Sadly, domestic abuse is not an uncommon feature of some relationships. You may need to protect yourself or your children. You may be able to get a non-molestation order or an occupation order. Alternatively, some spiteful ex-partners may have made false allegations against you and you need to contest those allegations. In either situation, John is here to protect you and serve your interests.

Divorce & Separation

Unfortunately, a large proportion of marriages end in divorce. When that happens, the divorcing couple normally need to agree how to divide the family finances between them. This can be very complicated, taking into account the parties’ and any children’s needs, their income, earning capacity, and may well include international aspects such as offshore funds or properties. John has a keen eye for detail and is a strong negotiator. John is often able to secure the best results for his clients through negotiations without contested final hearings, and so costs are kept to a minimum.
